Fettle bags have been designed and made with the aim of providing years of service. Hand made by us in our Yorkshire studio.Small bags are perfect for portable projects, and can hold 5 skeins of yarn. Made with eye catching vivid orange fabric.
Screen Print: No print, so there's more space for you to embellish with patches and badges. Or leave it plain and enjoy the beauty of the fabric.
Size: 30cm / 12in wide at top, 25cm / 10in high, 12.5cm / 5in deep and 17.5cm / 7 in wide at the base. Wrist strap is 2.5cm / 1 in wide and 20cm/ 8in long across the top edge.
Construction: The bags are unlined - using a fabric which is sturdy enough to stand up on its own means the bags don't need lining or interfacing. This cuts down on the amount of fabric used and makes recycling easier. A variety of seam finishes have ben used to ensure that all edges are finished so your bag will wear beautifully.
Pockets: There are eight internal pockets, four on each side. All pockets are 10cm / 4 in deep. Each side has pocket widths which are 2cm / 3/4in, 2.5cm / 1 in, 17cm / 6.5in and 5cm / 2in.
Care instructions: keep your bag in fine fettle by spot cleaning as needed. The bag can also be machine washed at 30 degrees C, line dried and pressed with a warm iron. The fabric will pick up creases over its life, adding to its character. The creases can be removed by pressing with a warm iron. The fabric can be reproofed to maintain its water repellent properties.
Fabric: organic ripstop cotton from Halley Stevensons. The waxed cotton is tightly woven, hard wearing and water repellent. We use every bit of this fabric, including the selvedge.
Thread: Gutterman cotton thread.
Label: cotton labels from the Dutch Label Shop.
Cord: recycled braided cotton from Bobbiny.
