The lovely folk over at Gamer Crafting are organising Operation: Social Justice.

Here’s what they have to say

“Social justice: the fight for equity in rights and opportunities. When did justice become something to malign and mock? Here at GamerCrafting Yarns, we think it’s important to fight for what’s right. It’s important to be kind, and it’s important to drown hate with love. “

More than 180 indie dyers and makers are getting together to raise money for different charities.

Follow #OperationSJW on social media and you’ll see updates of what’s being planned.

Rainbows and Dark Days

We’ll be dyeing a colourway called Rainbows and Dark Days, and 20% of the proceeds from each skein will go to Stonewall. The picture shows the fluff of our new Moonbroch base, contrasted with BFL, silk and alpaca. It never fails to surprise me how different yarn looks after it’s been reskeined! We’ll also offer this colourway on Britsock (which is what I’ll be dyeing today)

I’ve been sample knitting with the Moonbroch (yes I know, it’s a tough life), and I’ll have more to share in a blog post next week. If you follow us on Instagram you’ll see some snaps of how the yarn knits up. I’m completely smitten.

Operation : Social Justice goes live at midday on Sunday 15th March so no yarns will be available to purchase before then.
