We tested a small batch of laceweight BFL and Tussah silk a few months back, and it flew off the shelves. We’ve been waiting for more stock. Now it’s here it’s been dyed into a rainbow of colours. The second photos shows the same dye recipes with the addition of some black – so the colours are more muted.

So what’s in this yarn?

The yarn is a blend of 50% Blue Faced Leicester and 50% Tussah silk. The wool comes from British flocks, the silk comes from China and both fibres are blended and spun in Yorkshire. The yarn is in 100 gram skeins and there are 600 meters in each skein. This makes the yarn a brilliant choice for shawl patterns, especially those where you can cast on and knit until you run out of yarn.

As well as 16 colours there are 4 neutrals.
