Sheep might not be the first thing that come to mind when you think of leap years. There are lots of traditions about it being a day where women can do things that weren’t normally encouraged, like asking someone to marry them. Boo to those kind of restrictions.

There’s also an old Scottish saying

“A leap year was never a good sheep year”

Boo to that too – I’d love 2020 to be an excellent sheep year. Actually I’d like every year to be an excellent sheep year.

So I’m viewing the 29th of February as an extra yarn fondling day. Time for some knitting, and project planning. Time for coffee and cake.

If you’d like some new yarn to fondle, we’ve got a special Leap Year offer for you.

Over in the shop we’re offering the option of freepost on all orders until midnight on Saturday 29th February. That offer applies to all orders and we ship worldwide. UK orders will be posted 2nd class and everything else by airmail. So if you’d like to spend your extra 24 hours with some new yarn we can get it to you post free.
